INSTRUCTORS

LAURIE WEINER

Active in the fitness industry for 20 years, Laurie worked for Bally Total Fitness for 17 years. During that time she became an Honored Group Fitness Manager for their 15th and Walnut, Philadelphia location and their 3 South Jersey clubs. She organized and set up fitness programs for children, teens, adults and seniors. She became active in the education of group fitness instructors and helped launch the signature certification program Bfit University.

Always on the cutting edge of fitness, Laurie became educated in Pilates. Elizabeth Larkem and Balanced Body Equipment designed a program that would work with individuals in the fitness realm. Laurie became trained in Allegro reformer and mat.

Continuing with Pilates, she became educated by some of the top practitioners in this field, including P.J. O'Clair, John Gary, Beth Evans and Stefania Della Pia with STOTT® Pilates. Laurie became certified having studied through PHI Pilates with Marci Clark. She also holds certifications with REIKI SECOND DEGREE, ACE personal training, AFAA group fitness and American Heart Association.

MICHELE WEINERT

With an extensive performing background as a professional actress, singer, and dancer she has studied pilates for many years. Her experiences as a Master's candidate in social work, image consultant for Arbonne, and teacher to young children provide her with many unique skills that utilize her gift for bringing out the best in people. She has studied dance and Pilates in New York with some of the best. She is currently certified through PHI Pilates, and AFAA for Group Fitness. Michele's philosophy: "I stay well-educated and informed, keep my people that way, and tackle projects with energy, enthusiasm, integrity and a phenomenal sense of humor."

EILEEN DIMATTEO

Eileen has an extensive background in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She has been teaching Pilates for 4 years, and is currently certified through PHI Pilates AFFA for Personal Training and Mad Dogg Spinning.

LISA MANERO

Lisa graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Health Education, a concentration in Exercise and Sports Science and minor in Dance. She was an exercise physiologist in corporate gyms before becoming a Pilates instructor. Lisa did her training with John Garey in the Stott Method, and taught Pilates for 4 years in Los Angeles before moving back to the East Coast. She worked with chiropractors and physical therapists as well as at gyms. Lisa is also a licensed Zumba Gold Instructor.

ARCHANA BHALGAT

After facing a life-threatening illness in 1999, and spending two years in physical therapy, Archana began incorporating yoga into her daily life. Creating a new understanding of the mind-body connection, she has experienced first-hand the benefits, both physically and emotionally. Her interest in Pilates and core strength lead her to Pilates Mat 1, 2 and Reformer 1, 2 training. Archana brings her history and passion for yoga and Pilates, as well as her need to understand physical fitness to our team, giving her the opportunity to share her knowledge and experiences with others. With her unique interpretation of life, she brings a joyful and fun attitude in her teaching that inspires those around her.

NATALIE SANDONE

Natalie has an extensive and intense acting training in college. As with any performing art, it is mandatory to take care of your body, stay healthy and in shape..., which is how, during her stay at her second college, she was introduced to Pilates and fell in love with it. Natalie began teaching fitness classes while finishing up at her third college, University of the Arts. During her time at UArts she trained with Master Instructor of Pilates, Brie Neff of Equilibrium in Philadelphia, PA. Natalie has been practicing Pilates for over six hears and has been teaching for almost a year. Natalie is also a Johnny G Mad Dogg Spinning Instructor, as well as a certified CardioKick, Advanced BodyBar, Cycling, and Pilates Advanced Mat instructor (Kris Kory) AAAI/ISMA.
